Photo/ Karv One Design Editor/ Vivian Article/ Rita, Karv One Design Photography/ Ou Jinhui, Wang Heng As the first project of China Overseas Property in Wenzhou, “Wenzhou Luzhou Mansion” did not follow the usual practice of setting up the sales centre in the development, but rather “air-dropped” it onto the top of Wenzhou’s tallest building, the World Trade Building, which is not far away. How to establish a strong spatial connection between the two in the indoor space was a major challenge for the project. Karv One Design and LSD were responsible for the hard and soft furnishing design respectively, and “height” was the key to solving the problem. The design team focused on creating two viewing areas, the “Observatory” and the “Sky Lounge”, allowing visitors to overlook the Wenzhou cityscape from the skyline. In the design, Karv One Design took “city” as the main theme, drawing inspiration from Wenzhou’s rich historical and geographical features to create a space that showcases the city’s charm and future development. The designers used materials such as microcement, gray marble, mirrored stainless steel, wood veneer, and copper-coloured stainless steel to create a modern space that also incorporates traditional elements of Wenzhou, such as deer-shaped chandeliers and ink-style murals, creating a unique cultural atmosphere. In terms of space layout, the designers divided the sales centre into different areas based on the theme of “city”. The “Urban Lobby” at the entrance features a copper-coloured stainless steel finish, creating a noble and exquisite atmosphere. The mural on the wall depicts the beautiful scenery of the city’s mountains and waters. The “Sky Lounge” uses materials such as mirrored stainless steel and wood veneer to create a comfortable and warm atmosphere, allowing customers to feel the warmth of home. The design of the entire sales centre space fully showcases the creativity of the designers and their understanding of urban culture, as well as their vision for the future. In this high-rise space, the sales centre and the city blend together, creating a unique urban miracle.
