Design is an inspiration,
a seed,
making the world of children rich in beauty and surprises.
Designers need to create visual and spatial designs that can capture the hearts of children and are full of imagination. This does not mean simply adding some colorful components, but how to inspire creativity, arouse children’s curiosity, and bring them happiness.
1. Imaginative visual design
In the eyes of children, the world is beautiful and colorful, and any shape and color can generate infinite possibilities. Designers can imagine themselves as a child, walking into this simple and lovely world, using bold breakthroughs and fantasy graphic creations to get close to children’s aesthetic preferences and let children perceive more sensory information.
In the graphic design of the DAGU Elf, Karv One Design created water elves in red, yellow and blue primary colors, suggesting that imagination and creativity are free and changeable. Water elves appear in different forms in this space, freely changing in any scene. They are funny and cute.
The central main area “Dream Castle” is like a castle full of imagination and dreams, where imagination and dreams can break out of their shells.
2. Clear and eye-catching design for guiding
At the children’s theme space, the design of the main door, the roads, and even the setting of small roadblocks should be eye-catching in color and simple in shape. The layout setting includes details such as ground paving, natural environment decoration, character costumes, music, lighting, and signboards. The scenes and shapes that match the story line are designed so that children can reach their desired area more easily.
In each children’s space designed by Karv One Design, designers have created a colorful and interesting world. A series of vivid symbols and loaded environmental graphics are created to express diversity and more possibilities through visualization and to convey them to children in a straightforward way.
Soft and bright colors are used for the restroom, making the whole space warm and dreamy, and eliminating children’s fear of being alone in a small space. A long hallway is set up in the space to meet the nature of children running and jumping, and the rounded corners design focus on the safety of children, and also gives them enough free space to play.
3. Furniture design by skilled craftsmen
The world of children is not only fun, but also beautifully designed. They recognize the world with curious eyes. Everything they see, touch and feel constitutes their way of understanding the world. Children’s furniture design needs to have a child-friendly sense of scale and materials with a comfortable touch.
In the design of Blossom School, the outlines of animals and plants that children like are used as shapes. Specific materials are used for chairs, toys and other game facilities, so that children can explore the entire space in a relaxed condition. Like guarding this, let the children feel accompanied. Moderately gentle materials bring children a sense of intimacy and desire to discover in the spatial experience.
